I didn't get to go see Bruce Campbell last night after all, because I was stupid and forgot to purchase the tickets in advance. So now I'm sad.

On the bright side, my mom felt so sorry for me that she gave me $20.00 to go see Cabin Fever at the Beverly Center instead, and it was totally rad. The cast included not one, but two of my boys from Detroit Rock City, James DeBello and Giuseppe Andrews. And I didn't even know that they were in it until I was actually sitting in the theater watching the opening credits, so it was like this huge, pleasant surprise. Giuseppe was a screwball cop, and James drank beer and insulted people and said "man" a lot.

But yeah, the movie was wicked scary, and there was some truly awe-inspiring gore as well. There weren't very many people in the theater, but there was a little group of teenagers sitting a few rows behind me, and it was great, because every time anything violent happened, the girls would scream really loud, and the boys would laugh and go, "Shit, man, this movie is fuckin' tight!"

Not much else to report, except that Tommy Chong, of Cheech and Chong, has been arrested for doing something perfectly legal. This actually happened awhile ago, but I just found out about it earlier today, because I am really that out-of-touch with everything that's going on in the outside world.
